Meet Lisa Hoerning
As Director of New Wave Consultancy, Lisa helps organisations meaningfully engage, involve and support young people across their work and decision-making.
Her background is in youth engagement across leading environmental and social charities, including the RSPB, Groundwork UK and EarthEcho International. That work has given her a deep, practical understanding of what meaningful youth involvement looks like, and of the common traps that leave it feeling tokenistic.
She has also been closely involved with the Future Forum, funded by #iwill and run by SOS-UK: a cross-sector collective that brings together CEOs and senior leaders, youth engagement staff and youth representatives from 15 charities to amplify youth voice and widen collaboration.
Young people bring energy, creativity and long-term thinking, yet they're too often underrepresented in the very organisations working to build a better world. New Wave exists to change that, one organisation at a time.
